Temporary Reduced Seating Capacity Decision

Temporary Reduced Seating Capacity Decision

Posted Saturday 14 March 2020

Movie House has taken the decision to reduce capacity in all of its cinemas in Northern Ireland to allow customers more space.

The cinema has two types of seating: allocated VIP screens and ordinary non-allocated screens.

From Saturday, the VIP screens at Cityside, Glengormley and Maghera will have seats blocked off to reduce capacity. Allocated seats will appear online in pairs with a free seat on either side. Families and parties of more than two are welcome to move closer to the other members of their group but there will still be additional free seats on either side. Those buying tickets in cinema, will have staff assistance to select seats.

In addition, in its ordinary non-allocated screens at Dublin Road, Coleraine and some screens at Cityside, the company has already reduced seating capacity by 30% and customers can select a seat when they enter the screen. Staff will be on hand if customers find it difficult to find a seat where they feel comfortable.

Movie House had already put in place additional cleaning measures continually disinfecting all areas.
