£1,750 raised for the Diabetes Service

Staff at Movie House Cinemas at Cityside/Yorkgate raised £1,750 to donate to the Diabetes Service at the Mater Hospital in memory of a much-loved friend, Claire Brown. The money was raised through a range of activities including a pub quiz, raffle and collection boxes as well as a donation from the cinema owner.  Movie House Cityside Assistant Manager Gavin Mallon said: “Our staff are delighted that the money we raised will go towards new technology which will help diabetes patients. Everyone worked so hard to raise money and we hope it makes a big difference to someone’s life.”
